Duties and Responsibilities:

Institute of Education an Applied Sciences Central Viet Nam is a unit under Thuyloi University, operating in the Central and Central Highlands regions. Its functions include: participation in training, scientific research, technology transfer, consultancy services, joint ventures, partnerships, and domestic and international cooperation in the University’s specialized fields; serving local production in order to effectively integrate training with scientific research and practical production, thereby continuously improving operational quality.

The Institute has a total of 105 staff members, including 63 engineers, 19 master’s degree holders, 4 doctoral candidates, and 2 PhDs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Training; scientific research; technology transfer and production services;

Consultancy in surveying, project formulation, design, construction supervision, verification, operational procedure preparation, baseline investigation, planning, and mapping;

Environmental impact assessment consultancy; environmental monitoring; testing and treatment of groundwater, surface water, wastewater, and solid waste;

Safety assessment of dams and irrigation structures; quality inspection of construction works;

Development and compilation of technical standards and norms.

Organization and Staff:

The Center has legal status, its own seal, and bank account. It comprises 6 subordinate units and 1 expert panel:

– Planning and General Affairs Division.

Investment and construction consultancy: preparation of master plans and investment projects; topographic and geotechnical surveys; environmental impact assessment; technical design and total cost estimation; preparation of construction drawings for civil works, irrigation works, hydropower plants, roads and bridges, inland and seaports, ship locks, urban and rural water supply and drainage systems, dike systems, riverbank and coastal protection works, irrigation works for salt production and aquaculture; wastewater treatment; river regulation and flood prevention; wastewater and environmental treatment technologies in construction; construction economics; investment capital conversion; and development of technical standards and economic–technical norms.

Tender consultancy and project management for construction works.

Organization and Staff:

The Office manages 2 subordinate units and 1 laboratory: Da Nang Branch; Consultancy Workshop for Water Resources & Hydroelectric Projects; Integrated Hydraulic Laboratory.

Currently, the Office has a large and highly qualified scientific staff, including 10 PhDs, 15 Master’s degree holders, and 50 engineers and bachelors across various fields.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting scientific research and technology transfer in the field of civil engineering; carrying out science and technology services such as planning consultancy, survey, design, project verification, construction supervision, project management, quality control of construction projects; constructing projects using advanced technologies, scientific research in the field of civil engineering, natural disaster mitigation and prevention and new countryside; training construction business, BIM application in construction

The Institute comprises 9 centers and 1 division, with a staff of 100, including 6 Associate Professors, 3 PhDs, and 30 Master’s degree holders, plus over 100 collaborators who are lecturers from TLU or external experts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting scientific research and technological development in the field of water resources, natural disaster prevention and mitigation, natural resources and environment, technical infrastructure and water supply and drainage;

Implemeting scientific and technological services: joint training, participating in constructing project using technological advances; consulting on planning, surveying, designing, verifying projects, construction supervision, project management, quality inspection in the field of water resources (irrigation, hydropower, infrastructure, mitigation and prevention of natural disasters, natural resources and environment, water supply, fisheries and salt production);

Cooperating with organizations and individuals in home and foreign country to carry out the planned projects of scientific research, technology transfer in the field of irrigation, hydropower and environment;

Performing a number of tasks in the training activities according to the university’s plan.

The Institute manages 5 centers and 1 office, including: Center for Economics and Management, Center for Water Resources Planning and Rural Development, Center for Consultancy and Technology Transfer, Hydraulic Machinery Center, Chemical Engineering Center, and General Administration Office.

The Institute has 48 staff: 2 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 6 PhDs, 18 Master’s degree holders, 13 engineers, and 1 bachelor. Thirty-eight have over 10 years of consultancy experience, and ten have over 5 years. Additionally, there are over 200 collaborators from TLU and other organizations.

6. INSTITUTE OF HYDROLOGY, ENVIRONEMT AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting scientific research, technology transfer, undergraduate and postgraduate training, international cooperation in the field of hydrology and water resources, climate change, natural disaster prevention and reduction; providing consulting services on basic surveys, planning, construction of irrigation, hydroelectric and environmental projects throughout the country.

Organization and Staff:

The Institute manages 1 center and 2 divisions: Center for Water Security, Division of Scientific Consultancy and Technology Transfer, and Division of Administration – Planning – Finance. It also facilitates student field trips to support integrated water resources management and reservoir operation training.

The Institute has 30 staff members, including 3 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 9 PhDs, 6 Master’s degree holders, 5 engineers, and 1 bachelor. Twenty have over 10 years of consultancy experience, and ten have over 5 years. Additionally, the Institute has over 100 collaborators who are lecturers of Thuyloi University or experts from other institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting researching, developing and transferring science and technology in the field of irrigation and environment; joint venture, joint implementation of science and technology projects and other projects;

Providing scientific and technological services in the field of irrigation and environment include: Surveying and measuring: geography, geology, hydrology and environment; Consulting on planning, design, verification of documents for stages: feasibility study, technical design, plant protection, completion; Construction supervision, project management, construction quality control; Implemeting construction of science and technology elements;

Implementing short-term training courses; participating in undergraduate and postgraduate training in irrigation, hydropower, water resources and environment.

Strengths:

The Institute has a highly qualified team supported by leading experts of Thuyloi University, capable of effectively addressing specialized scientific issues and integrating research with practice and training.
